Litigation Solicitor (NQ - 2 PQE)
Nottingham | Hybrid Working | Leading Global Business
I'm working with a leading, globally recognised business that is looking to appoint a Litigation Solicitor to join its established Nottingham team. This is a great opportunity for an NQ-2 PQE solicitor looking to move in-house whilst continuing to develop their litigation experience, with genuine responsibility for their own caseload and exposure to commercially focused disputes.
The Role
You'll manage your own portfolio of litigation and recovery matters, taking cases from initial assessment through to resolution. This will include:
- Managing your own caseload and assessing prospects
- Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
- Handling pre-action matters, negotiations and settlements
- Progressing claims through litigation where required
- Working with external solicitors and Counsel
- Providing commercially focused advice to the wider business
- Supporting and reviewing the work of junior colleagues/interns

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
