Home – Litigation Solicitor (NQ – 1 Year PQE)

Are you a newly qualified solicitor looking to develop your career in litigation? As our Litigation Department continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated solicitor to join our Wickford office.

Job Description

The Role

Working directly alongside Jennifer Hardy, Head of Litigation and Partner, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across a varied and high-quality caseload, including exposure to more complex litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious newly qualified solicitor looking to develop quickly, take on increasing responsibility, and learn directly from an experienced Partner in a supportive environment.   • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
  • Assisting on a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters
  • Managing your own caseload (with appropriate supervision)
  • Supporting on more complex and higher-value disputes
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
  • Attending client meetings, conferences, and hearings
  • Building strong client relationships and maintaining high service standards

Key Requirements

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic solicitor who is committed to developing their litigation career.

You Will Ideally Have

  • 1 year’s PQE in litigation (or strong litigation seat during training)
  • A solid grounding in civil procedure and dispute resolution
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
