Live Chat Support Agent

Location: United Kingdom
Workplace: Remote
Salary: £10–£13 per hour (£19,500–£25,350 annual equivalent based on a 37.5-hour week)
Contract: Part-time, with full-time options available
Reports to: Customer Support Team Lead (client side)

The opportunity

Apply4U is recruiting a Live Chat Support Agent on behalf of a UK-based consumer business handling a high volume of customer enquiries. This fully remote opportunity will suit someone who communicates clearly in writing, can manage several conversations at once and remains professional under pressure.

The role

You will handle inbound live-chat enquiries, resolve routine customer issues, provide accurate information and record each interaction within the client’s support system.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound customer chats.
  • Resolve account, order, product and general enquiries, providing clear follow-up where needed.
  • Manage multiple live conversations while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
  • Record interactions, notes and outcomes accurately in the support system.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior colleagues.
  • Identify recurring issues and report patterns to the team lead.
  • Maintain consistent service standards across all customer interactions.

  • Experience with Intercom, Zendesk Chat, Tidio or similar tools.
  • Previous e-commerce or subscription-based customer support experience.
