The Royal Albert Hall is one of the world’s most iconic entertainment venues, with an unrivalled history of events and performances from world-class artists. We have 2 exciting opportunities to join our Production and Technical team where you will gain valuable production and technical skills and experience to kick start your career in this field, while gaining a national vocational qualification.
Key Elements of the Apprenticeship
- Lighting/Audio duties: preparing equipment in readiness for shows then de-prepping and maintaining ready for deployment.
- Rigging duties: supporting with loads in and load out, installing, rigging equipment as required whilst under supervision.
- Maintenance duties: consumables stock control, upkeep of technical/staging/rigging areas.
- General duties: assist with all event spaces/show requirements.

You will gain practical experience, and essential skills through a blend of workplace learning, formal training, and hands-on practice, and complete the Creative Industries Production Technician Level 3 Standard. You will be supported through your apprenticeship journey by our Production and Technical Team, our external training provider and our Learning and Development Manager.
Criteria
- A genuine interest in gaining experience in business admin, health and safety practice and a desire to learn.
- Be aged 18-30.
- A Lambeth resident.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
- Please note this apprenticeship is not already educated to degree level.
- We are interested in hearing from individuals who may not be in education or employment or have had setbacks in life and are now ready to embark on a new career journey.

Working Hours
Working hours will usually be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening work as and when required. Working hours will include 1 day for training sessions and for studying, as required by apprenticeship training rules.
This position is part of the ELEVATE scheme from Lambeth council and therefore is only available for residents under Lambeth Council, 18-30 years of age - Please do not apply unless you are a resident.
