Cheshunt, Hertfordshire | £129 per day + Food & Travel Allowances | 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

We're looking for an experienced Live-In Carer to become a familiar and trusted part of a lovely client's life.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a kind, experienced and reliable Live-In Care Professional to join an established package supporting a lovely lady in her late 80s in her own home in Cheshunt.
We're looking for someone who wants to fit in with the client and her family and become a regular, familiar face on a permanent 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational basis. Building a genuine relationship with the client is an important part of the role.
Our client is friendly, engaging and enjoys company, conversation and maintaining her independence. She enjoys spending time in her garden, baking, watching the news and keeping busy around her home.
She has Alzheimer's, high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes. She remains mobile and fairly independent, but benefits from gentle prompting, companionship, light personal care and some support around the home.
What does the role involve?
This is primarily a companionship-focused Live-In Care role, rather than a highly complex care package.
You will provide support with:
- Companionship and conversation
- Prompting and gentle guidance throughout the day
- Light personal care
- Preparing meals and light household tasks
- Supporting her usual routines and activities
- Encouraging her independence
- Taking and recording daily blood pressure readings

She attends a local day centre every Monday and Wednesday from 10am–2pm, providing a regular opportunity for you to have some personal time away from the home.
A great live-in arrangement
You will have your own private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, giving you a comfortable space of your own.
Her daughter is very involved in her mum's care and is friendly, supportive and approachable. We're looking for someone who will become a trusted member of this wider support network.
Pay & benefits
- £129 per day
- £1,806 per 2-week placement
- Permanent 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
- Food allowance
- Travel allowance
You'll work for two weeks before having two full weeks off, providing a predictable working pattern and extended time away from the placement.
Who are we looking for?
For this particular placement, previous Live-In Care experience is required due to the nature of the client's needs and the responsibility of working independently within the home.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
- Has previous Live-In Care experience
- Has experience supporting clients with dementia or Alzheimer's
- Is warm, patient and compassionate
- Is confident working independently
- Enjoys companionship and building meaningful relationships
- Is reliable and committed to a long-term placement
- Understands the importance of respecting a client's independence and home

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service would be highly desirable.
