Company Description Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our Live In Care Professional to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support.

Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a compassionate, patient and reliable Live-In Care Professional to provide dedicated support and companionship to an individual living in Benfleet.

This is an important role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and understands the value of providing respectful, person-centred care. The successful candidate will be approachable, attentive and able to build a trusting and positive relationship with the individual they support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support.
  • Offer friendly companionship and engage in meaningful conversation.
  • Be a patient, attentive listener and provide emotional reassurance when needed.
  • Build and maintain a positive, trusting relationship.
  • Support with day-to-day care needs while promoting dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
  • Respect the individual's routines, preferences and personal space.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive home environment.
  • Work cooperatively with other care professionals involved in the individual's support.

Additional Care Support The role is supported by a second care professional who will attend four care calls each day to assist with hoisting and transfers.

Safe moving and handling is a key priority, and the Live-In Care Professional will be expected to work alongside the visiting care professional to ensure transfers and other moving-and-handling tasks are carried out safely and respectfully.

Previous experience in care, including personal care and hoisting, is desirable but a caring and positive attitude is essential.
