Job Description

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Home Instead Portsmouth.

We have a fantastic live in care opportunity for someone who is looking to support several people within the Portsmouth area on an ongoing rotation of two weeks on and two weeks off.

Our clients all need support around the home, some also need help with personal care and support in preparing meals. We have some clients who are in the early stages of dementia but as we hold the Princess Royal Trainer award for our dementia care, we are well placed to give all the training you require.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is required for this role or at least 5 years experience.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need to:

  • Be aged 18 or over.
  • Have the full right to work in the UK (please note we are unable to offer sponsorship).
  • Have a genuine passion for caring for others and making a positive difference.
  • Be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing outstanding care.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence (highly desirable) to travel between clients' homes.
  • Ability to work independently.

Additional Information

As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided an additional £10 daily food allowance on top of your daily rate, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.

Additional training provided to properly support the client.
