About the Role

You’ll live in the client’s home, offering vital non-medical assistance to help them maintain safety, confidence, and independence. Duties include but aren’t limited to:

  • Preparing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with medication management
  • Supporting personal care needs (e.g., dressing, bathing)
  • Keeping clients connected with family/friends
  • Engaging in hobbies and companionship
  • Providing a listening ear and emotional support

Your impact extends far beyond tasks—you’ll become a trusted confidant and advocate for your client’s well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personalised Care: Adapt support to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and daily routine.
  • Safety & Routine: Ensure clients remain safe through practical help and proactive monitoring.
  • ** Companionship:** Offer emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and rejoint interests (e.g., walks, crafts, music).
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain open communication with the team leader for continuity of care.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.

Requirements

We’re seeking candidates who:

  • Are kind, caring, and empathetic with a natural inclination to uplift others.
  • Take pride in creatively enhancing an older person’s quality of life.
  • Can build quick rapport and trust with strangers.
  • Have strong organisational and time-management skills for juggling diverse care tasks.
  • Are flexible and adaptable to varying routines and unexpected demands.
