About the Role
You’ll live in the client’s home, offering vital non-medical assistance to help them maintain safety, confidence, and independence. Duties include but aren’t limited to:
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Assisting with medication management
- Supporting personal care needs (e.g., dressing, bathing)
- Keeping clients connected with family/friends
- Engaging in hobbies and companionship
- Providing a listening ear and emotional support

Key Responsibilities
- Personalised Care: Adapt support to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and daily routine.
- Safety & Routine: Ensure clients remain safe through practical help and proactive monitoring.
- ** Companionship:** Offer emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and rejoint interests (e.g., walks, crafts, music).
- Team Collaboration: Maintain open communication with the team leader for continuity of care.
- Professionalism: Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
Requirements
We’re seeking candidates who:
- Are kind, caring, and empathetic with a natural inclination to uplift others.
- Take pride in creatively enhancing an older person’s quality of life.
- Can build quick rapport and trust with strangers.
- Have strong organisational and time-management skills for juggling diverse care tasks.
- Are flexible and adaptable to varying routines and unexpected demands.
