Company Description
Home Instead (Altrincham, Sale & Wythenshawe) require an experienced live-in carer. You will have a recent DBS or be on the Update Service and can provide recent professional references.
About the Role
We are looking for a Confident & Compassionate Live In Carer, with a CAN DO attitude, and previous Live in Experience, to support clients with:
- Personal care
- Safe moving and handling
- Cooking meals
- Dementia care
- Medications
Understanding of Professional Boundaries is essential to ensure a positive and lasting relationship. Our Live in Carers have excellent communication skills to build relationships with the client, their family and the office and team of carers. You know when to seek help or advice for their clients safety and wellbeing.

Skills and Experience
- Excellent Communication
- Confident cooking skills
- Use of Hoisting and other mobility equipment
- Experience with Dementia/ Alzheimer's
- Experience of catheter care
- End of Life/ Palliative care.
Job Description
Standard duties will include assisting with:
- Getting up/ going to bed routines
- Dementia care
- Personal care
- Household tasks
- Preparing meals
- Working with health professionals to ensure all care needs are met (e.g. district nurses)
- Administering medication
- Shopping
- Appointments or social activities
