About Us
Welcome to St Michael’s Prep School and thank you for your interest in joining our wonderful team. St Michael’s Prep is a co-educational, inclusive school for children aged 2 to 13. Desired Qualifications
- Safeguarding training.
- First Aid training certificate.
- Pool plant operators’ certificate.
- First Aid at Work certificate.
- Minibus driving licence.
- Good all-round DIY and maintenance skills such as plumbing, heating, carpentry.
- Fit and able to undertake a physically demanding workload.

Desired Experience
- Previous experience working in a school
- Understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) and safeguarding in school.
Essential Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- An enhanced disclosure via the DBS (which the school can facilitate) or registration with the update service.
- Hold a clean full Manual Driving Licence.
Essential Experience
- Qualifications relating to grounds maintenance.
- Experience working in a grounds, maintenance or site role.
- Experience of working with grounds equipment and hand tools.
- Have good literacy skills, computer literate and be proficient in the use of Word and Outlook.
- Understanding of health & safety requirements within a workplace (especially asbestos and legionella).
