I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How to Apply?

To level the playing field, CVs aren’t important. Instead, to apply for this role, we want you to create a short video and submit a written answer.

Video Brief

Using a smartphone, create a three-minute video of yourself telling us why you want this internship by answering the below questions (be as creative as you like!):

  • How would your peers describe you?
  • Tell us about a sporting event that has caught your eye recently – and tell us what you thought of it (whether it was good / bad – and why)
  • This role involves working on events planning and engaging with project managers. Talk us through how you would juggle two contrasting requests at once?
  • You’re the captain of a football/rugby/any sport team and you’re currently playing a match. It’s halftime and your team is losing. You’re in the dressing room leading the team talk – what do you say to your team to motivate them for the second half?

Share a link of this video via a platform like WeTransfer in the application questionnaire.

Written Answer Brief

"In 500 words or less, please tell us about a sporting event that has impressed you and why. (Key things to think about could be; location, audience, brand advertising, infrastructure, operations, etc.)"
