Role Description
The LMS, Digital Learning & IT Systems Officer is a contract role based in Brighton with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with remote work from home. This role manages and optimizes the Learning Management System (LMS), supporting learners and staff with technical queries, user access, and platform navigation.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

- Uploading and updating digital learning content
- Monitoring system performance
- Ensuring data accuracy
- Generating usage reports
The Officer collaborates with educators and program leads to implement digital learning tools, troubleshoot IT issues, and maintain secure, user-friendly systems. The role also contributes to process documentation, testing new features, and improving the overall digital learning experience.
Qualifications
- Experience administering Learning Management Systems and supporting digital learning platforms, including user management, content uploads, and reporting.
- Strong IT systems skills, such as basic systems configuration, troubleshooting, and coordination with external technical support or vendors.
- Familiarity with online education tools (e.g., video conferencing, e-learning authoring tools, digital collaboration platforms) and blended or hybrid learning environments.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics from LMS and IT systems to identify trends, improve learner experience, and support decision-making.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for guidance, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with educators and program staff.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a hybrid setup.
- Commitment to sustainability, climate action, and equitable access to education, with sensitivity to global south contexts.
- Relevant education or professional experience in IT, educational technology, digital learning, or a related field; prior experience in a training or education organization is an advantage.
