Job Description

As a Load Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicle routes are planned to allow for on-time deliveries. Whether you’re debriefing drivers or managing emergency orders, you’ll be a significant strength to Greene King. We have a new opportunity within our Bury Distribution Centre. In this role, it will be your job to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of daily load scheduling to ensure optimal utilisation of resources whilst delivering outstanding service to our customers.

This role is based from Eastwood Distribution Centre, Queens Road, Nottingham.

Your role as Load Planner

  • The effective management and planning of drivers, through use of Dips transport planning software
  • Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resources (vehicles, drivers), ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU drivers’ hours regulations)
  • To ensure the daily plan is completed, maximising utilisation whilst minimising cost
  • Make regular use of in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency
  • Constantly communicate with our customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained

What you'll bring.....

  • You will have previous experience in a multi-drop load planning role
  • Literate in MS Office
  • Demonstrate previous experience of transport planning systems
  • Have the ability to work independently and make decisions
