LOADER / FLT WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Selby | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Rotating shifts | Β£32,549.64 per annum
Weβre looking for a Loader / FLT Warehouse Operative to join our team in Selby.
This is an important, practical role at the heart of our operation. Youβll help keep finished goods, packaging and materials moving safely and efficiently around site, making sure production has what it needs and finished products are ready to go where they need to go.
YOUR SHIFTS
Youβll work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, on rotating shifts:
- 6:00am to 2:00pm
- 2:00pm to 10:00pm
- Occasional 10:00pm to 6:00am night shifts when required, although these are very rare
WHAT YOUβLL BE DOING
As a Loader / FLT Warehouse Operative, youβll have a varied role that includes:
- Loading and unloading finished goods, packaging, pallets and tote bags safely
- Moving finished goods pallets from the packing hall
- Making sure pallets have the correct finished goods labels
- Supplying production lines with the packaging and consumables they need
- Removing used pallets, waste packaging and other materials from production areas
- Carrying out pre-start checks and completing the required documentation
- Supporting Line Technicians and palletiser activity when required
- Keeping your working area clean, tidy and safe throughout the shift
- Reporting health and safety issues and near misses quickly and helping maintain high site standards

WHAT WEβRE LOOKING FOR
The key thing for this Loader / FLT Warehouse Operative role is that you already hold an FLT licence.
Weβre also looking for someone who:
- Has a good basic understanding of workplace safety
- Communicates clearly and works well with others
- Is comfortable with basic numbers and paperwork
- Takes pride in doing things safely and accurately
- Is flexible and happy working in a busy operational environment
A Food Hygiene certificate would be useful, but it isnβt essential.
