About The Role
Loading Shovel Driver
Working hours: 08:00–17:00
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Loading Shovel Driver to join our team at Honey Pot Lane Composting Site.
The successful candidate will operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently, supporting the movement, loading and processing of composting materials across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a loading shovel within a busy composting environment
- Load, move and manage composting materials
- Feed processing and screening equipment when required
- Load vehicles safely and efficiently
- Complete daily machinery checks and report any defects
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Follow all site procedures and health and safety requirements
- Support the wider site team when required
Requirements
- Valid loading shovel qualification or competency card
- Previous experience operating a loading shovel
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience within waste management, recycling or composting would be beneficial but is not essential
