Loads Engineer
In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking for a Loads Engineer to join our growing team for initially a 12m fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
- Load calculations used for sizing study of future aircrafts or for major MODs.
- For a start, determination of component loads (calculation of the loads on specific parts) and could be in the future:
- Ground loads (Landings, Brakings, Turns, Rollings,...)
- Flight loads (Longitudinal and Lateral Manoeuvres, Load Alleviation Functions, Gust, Failure cases...)
- Aeroelastics calculation (Flutter calculations, control surfaces limit cycle oscillations)

Requirements
- Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree
- Technical skills:
- Flight Physics
- Flight Loads
- Ground Loads
- Aeroelastics
- Aerodynamics
- Know the behavior of an airplane, to have physical sense
- Coding: Python (mandatory)
- Tools: Matlab
- Strong ability to plan and schedule activities across multiple modules
- Pay attention to details
- Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
- Team spirit with a capacity to interact with multicultural teams
