Location: London (Hybrid; 2–3 days per week in the office)

We’re delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Loan Administrator to join our client, a globally recognised financial institution, on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility while fostering collaboration with colleagues across the business.

The Role

As a Loan Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the operational lifecycle of syndicated loan transactions. Working in a fast-paced, international environment, you’ll support the administration and settlement of transactions while contributing to process improvement and digitalisation initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with syndicated loan operations & LoanIQ experience who thrives in a dynamic setting and wants to contribute to the success of a forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review syndicated loan agreements from an operational perspective.
  • Onboard and maintain deals within LoanIQ efficiently.
  • Process and approve daily loan administration activities, including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and fee payments.
  • Book trades and transactions in LoanIQ from inception to settlement.
  • Proactively monitor and manage pending trades to minimise settlement times.
  • Review, understand, and draft LMA-standard trade documentation (e.g., Trade Confirmations, Transfer Certificates, Assignment Agreements).
  • Collaborate with Legal, Treasury, Accounting, and Risk Management teams to resolve operational queries.
  • Support the closing and settlement of primary and secondary market transactions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in an international banking environment.
  • Contribute to automation, digitalisation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and mentor colleagues on complex operational topics.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in syndicated loan markets, ideally in loan administration or operations.
  • Strong understanding of syndicated loan processes and transaction lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with LMA standards and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and intercultural awareness, with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and make fact-based decisions.
  • A proactive approach, high self-motivation, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of LoanIQ and ClearPar (advantageous).
