Loan Analyst
Solutus Advisors are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Analyst to join the team on full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of day-to-day administration/servicing of Corporate and Commercial real estate loans ensuring all calculations, payments and borrower and lender communications are accurate whilst adhering to current processes. The position is suitable for candidates with a positive and diligent attitude and attention to detail.
This is an office based role and the location of our office is in Chorley.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Boarding new loans onto the loan management system (LMS) as per loan Facility Agreements.
- Create Loan interest calculation templates in Microsoft Excel for loans too complex to operate within the LMS.
- Create periodic interest calculations from the LMS/Excel template and produce associated interest statements on each Interest Payment Date (IPD).
- Preparation of payments from both borrower bank accounts and Solutus accounts, including upkeep of the payment tracker. These include both manual and online payments.
- Daily monitoring of the Solutus bank accounts and weekly reconciliation of the GBP & EUR tracker accounts.
- General loan administration duties including preparation of billing notices/remittance reports, rate setting and maintenance of LMS.
- Calculation of Agency Fees and liaison with the Finance Dept. to arrange for associated invoices to be raised.
- Maintenance of Loan IPD/Fee Diaries.
- Maintenance of the Portfolio Database/Bank Account spreadsheets/Distribution Lists.
- Preparation of periodic client reports using both LMS and Excel.
- Calculation of Agency Fees and liaison with the Finance Dept. to arrange for associated invoices to be raised.
- Liaising with Loan Managers, lenders, clients and relevant third parties with regards to loan accrual queries/administration/audits.
- Working with the Management Team to provide ongoing improvement of the daily functions including any appropriate enhancement of the LMS.
- Carry out a range of project related tasks.
- Contribute towards the continual improvement of the various systems and processes within the Loan Operations Team.
- Respond to both internal and external queries in a timely manner.
- Support day-to-day activities of team to ensure accurate/timely delivery of services.
- Other functions relating to the operation of the business as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Positive and diligent attitude and commitment to complete tasks on time.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, running multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
