Location: London Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home) Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (per annum) Employment Type: Permanent
About the Role
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Loan Agency Officer to join their middle office agency documentation team focusing on the role of facility and security agent, ensuring smooth operations for both lenders and borrowers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate syndicated loan facility agent and security agent roles, including:
- Issuing notices to lenders and corresponding with banks, financial institutions, and borrowers.
- Handling administrative tasks, such as circulating borrower information to lenders and responding to queries.
- Calculating drawdown amounts, coordinating lender votes for waivers or amendments, and assisting with documentation.
- Facilitate the distribution of loan documents and relevant materials between front offices, borrowers, and lenders.
- Act as a liaison to address queries between borrowers and lenders, ensuring compliance with loan agreements.
- Report and record progress to senior management, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Minimise operational irregularities through diligent daily duties and proactive issue reporting.
- Compile and present reports on loan agent operations to senior stakeholders.
- Support distribution activities, including documentation, KYC processes, deal closing, and drawdown.
- Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of frameworks and systems for portfolio/risk management, loan administration, and business planning.
- Assist with additional duties as requested by senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the financial sector, with a focus on syndicated lending
- Strong aptitude for statistics and financial analysis.
- Preferred: ‘A’ level qualifications or equivalent.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with teams across the organisation and external institutions in the financial market.
