I’m working with a leading global investment manager that is looking to hire an experienced Loan Servicing / CLO Operations professional to join its London-based Operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in syndicated loan operations and CLOs who wants to take on a role with genuine ownership across the loan lifecycle, rather than simply processing transactions.

You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Investment Teams, Finance, Agent Banks and external counterparties, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of a global CLO platform.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of syndicated loans and CLO portfolios, with exposure across the full lifecycle. Daily duties will include:

  • Managing day-to-day loan lifecycle events, including interest, repayments, rollovers, amendments and other scheduled and ad-hoc activity.
  • Processing loan transactions and cash movements, ensuring positions and records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting loan amendments, restructurings and facility changes, ensuring new terms and relevant data are correctly reflected across internal systems.
  • Managing activity relating to committed and uncommitted facilities, including drawdowns and associated processing.
  • Performing regular position, cash and system reconciliations across multiple internal platforms.
  • Investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks, identifying root causes and providing clear analysis to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting trade settlement activity and ensuring transactions are accurately reflected across the relevant operational systems.
  • Reviewing interest and payment notices, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate processing.
  • Working closely with investment, portfolio management, finance, operations and external counterparties to resolve issues and ensure transactions are processed efficiently.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
