We are looking for a Loan Trading Services Associate to join JP Morgan's Wholesale Lending Services team in Bournemouth on an initial 12-month contract.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in finance operations, banking operations, lending, trade support, or a similar environment. - Accurately capturing new external primary and secondary loan trades in agent books and records
- Reviewing credit agreements and understanding key assignability provisions
- Investigating and resolving operational queries, escalating issues where appropriate
- Producing daily and monthly MIS reporting to monitor open items and identify potential risks
- Supporting ad-hoc requests, including technology enhancements and UAT testing
- Contributing to projects and initiatives designed to improve processes, automation, and the team's control environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Wholesale Lending Services and wider teams
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders by email, phone, and in person in a fast-paced environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
