Profile Summary
Senior front-office role responsible for leading the Loans trading desk across secondary trading, primary issuance support and financing portfolio development. The role is accountable for trading performance, risk management, and balance sheet deployment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide market-making and pricing capability in the key ~130 issuers that Leveraged Finance are focused on to the key investor client base identified by Leveraged Finance and supported by the existing distribution capability in GMK.
- Develop a strategy, in conjunction with the key FO functions, to build and grow the secondary trading revenue base within the risk appetite and limits as set by through CIB governance framework.
- Coordination of research activities.
- Ensure timely client engagement and best execution, working with the Bank and a broad client base of banks, hedge funds and institutional investors, in partnership with Sales
- Oversight of loans closing process to ensure timely booking and subsequent settlement of executed transactions within the market operating framework.
- Ensure conduct within given protocols and controls, ensuring timely communication, booking and management of all risk positions, as well as satisfactory management of all relevant resources and stakeholders

Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
- Extensive front-office trading experience in loans, with a strong record of revenue delivery and disciplined risk management.
- Proven ability to lead a trading desk or product area, setting strategy and working effectively across front office and control functions.
- Experience supporting primary issuance through pricing, investor engagement and secondary distribution.
- Strong commercial judgement and disciplined approach to market, credit and liquidity risk.
- Strong client and investor relationship skills, with credibility in the market.
- Strong people leadership, with the ability to build and develop a high-performing, well-controlled team.
- Good understanding of relevant regulatory, conduct and control requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, clients and control functions effectively.
