Your Role

As a WEP Local Area Representative, you will support international exchange students aged 14-18 who come to the UK for a few months, a school term or a full academic year and live with carefully selected host families.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting and looking after exchange students throughout their stay, both in person and by phone, helping them settle into life in the UK and making the most of their experience.
  • Being a key point of contact for students and host families, working closely with the WEP team to provide ongoing support.
  • Supporting host families and helping to resolve any questions or issues that may arise during the placement.
  • Organising occasional local activities and opportunities for students to meet and connect with others.
  • Helping to grow WEP’s local host-family network as our student intake continues to expand.
  • Proactively following up on host-family enquiries and leads, building relationships with potential host families and encouraging them through the application process.
  • Supporting the host-family recruitment and onboarding process, including interviews, home visits and suitability assessments.
  • Keeping in regular contact with WEP and providing updates on students, host families and any local developments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
