Job Title: Local Business Development Executive

Location: Based out of Craigavon Dealership but covering Craigavon, Lisburn, Newry, Armagh and Mid Ulster

Salary: £37,000 + bonus / commission – OTE £60,000 + Company Car and fuel card

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven Local Business Development Executive to join our team in a dealership and field-based sales role.

This position is ideal for an experienced sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for growing and developing a local business and fleet customer database while promoting a range of automotive products and services, including:

  • New and Used Passenger Vehicle Sales
  • Commercial Vehicle Sales
  • Aftersales Services
  • Parts and Accessories

Working independently and as part of a wider team, you will focus on developing new business opportunities across the local region while managing and nurturing existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify local businesses with fleet requirements of up to 100 vehicles.
  • Develop new business opportunities across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, aftersales, and fleet services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Contact prospective customers and arrange appointments at customer premises or dealership locations.
  • Conduct professional sales presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Work closely with sales, service, parts, and operational teams to maximise business opportunities and deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Attend networking events, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and local business functions to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, appointments, and sales activity.
  • Ensure all customer information is recorded and managed in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales and business development targets.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Experience working within a B2B and/or B2C sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a customer-first approach.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and develop long-term business relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and research skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving targets.
  • A full UK driving licence.
