Job: Local Business Development Executive

Location: Manchester, SK4

Salary: Basic Salary £37,000 + Bonus (OTE £60,000) + Company Car & Fuel Card

Position: Full Time | Permanent

Join Our Client as a Local Business Development Executive

Our client is looking for a driven and ambitious Local Business Development Executive to join their growing team in Manchester. This is an exciting field-based role focused on developing new business opportunities, growing fleet accounts, and promoting a full range of passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, aftersales services, and parts solutions.

The Role

As a Local Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across the Manchester area. You'll build strong relationships with local businesses, manage customer accounts, and work closely with internal sales and aftersales teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the local market.
  • Build and manage a database of business and fleet customers.
  • Arrange and attend customer meetings both on-site and off-site.
  • Promote vehicle sales, fleet solutions, aftersales services, and parts offerings.
  • Deliver tailored presentations and proposals to prospective customers.
  • Generate and convert sales opportunities through proactive prospecting.
  • Attend networking events, business forums, and Chamber of Commerce meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with vehicle sales, service, and fleet operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity reports using CRM systems.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years' sales or business development experience.
  • Proven ability to generate and win new business.
  • Strong B2B relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Automotive, fleet, leasing, commercial vehicle, or dealership experience.
  • Experience within a field sales or account management role.
  • Knowledge of vehicle funding, fleet sales, or aftersales solutions.
