Do you have a passion for working with communities and partners to improve health and wellbeing outcomes?
As a Local Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of locality planning across Fife. Working closely with communities, carers, services and partner organisations, you will help identify local priorities, develop action plans and lead projects that support the strategic priorities of Fife Health & Social Care Partnership.
You will bring people together around shared goals, coordinate activity across a range of agencies and sectors, and support the development of innovative solutions to local challenges. The role requires a proactive, relationship-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including community groups, elected members, public sector partners and third sector organisations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and supporting locality delivery plans that improve outcomes for local communities.
- Leading and coordinating projects and initiatives with partners and stakeholders.
- Using local intelligence and data to identify priorities and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting meaningful community engagement and participation.
- Facilitating collaborative working across health, social care, community and voluntary sector partners.
- Establishing monitoring and evaluation processes to measure impact and inform future planning.
- Supporting community organisations and carers to access funding opportunities and develop funding bids.

As a progressive employer, we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a blended working arrangement with home-working opportunities and occasional office-working as required. While a significant part of the role can be carried out remotely, you will be expected to travel across Fife and attend meetings and events as required.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Community Learning and Development, Nursing, Project Management or Business Management, and be committed to your own continuing professional development.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
- Experience of community engagement and community development approaches.
- Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of locality planning and partnership-based service improvement.
- Project management experience and the ability to coordinate complex pieces of work.
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to facilitate consultation and engagement activity with communities and partners.
- An understanding of the challenges affecting disadvantaged communities.
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, proactive and solution-focused approach.
- You should also be able to motivate others, build effective partnerships, negotiate with confidence and use evaluation and data intelligently to support improvement and decision-making.
