This position reports to: Sales Manager
In this role, you will
Lead ABB's Motion High Power business across the UK, driving profitable growth, developing high-performing sales teams, and building strong customer partnerships. You will be responsible for executing sales strategy, delivering business targets, and ensuring ABB remains a trusted partner to customers across key industrial markets.

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Work model: Hybrid working out of Daresbury, Warrington
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales organization. Establish a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, develop talent through coaching and succession planning, and ensure the right capabilities, structure, and priorities are in place to deliver sustainable growth.
- Develop and sustain a customer-centric culture across the organization. Build and maintain executive-level relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring superior customer experience, increased market penetration, and long-term profitable growth.
- Localizes and implements the Division and Business Line (BL) strategies through a comprehensive multi-year country plan, assuming full ownership of local implementation.
- Owns the KPIs in line with Division / Business Lines / Regions targets and is accountable to deliver them. Continuously monitors key sales metrics (Pipeline, OR, GM) and initiates appropriate performance improvement actions where required.
- Drive top-line growth via new customer acquisition and increased share of wallet. Drives and implements the initiative in the Sales unit, including Account Development.
- Drive sales productivity, and sales-efficiency and -cost improvements: organizational development, Competence development, implementation of processes and tools (e.g. pricing, opp. mgmt., data quality) etc.
- Oversee local P&L (OR, OR/Rev GM, Sales Costs), aligning sales costs with business priorities. Oversee Marketing planning and pricing strategy.
- Performs sales forecasting and performance reviews, leads the local budget process
- Defines sales objectives for the team and drives the team to achieve the targets, leveraging Sales Incentive plans that represent clear local accountability for each of the defined business lines
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing team(s) and organization.
- Promote ABB values and ensure compliance with all local and global standards. Collaboration and coordination with other Divisions.

Qualifications for the Role
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales and running a front-end sales operation, and demonstrating a profitable growth record
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
- Strong background in Motion business, deep understanding of industrial markets, customer needs, and growth levers.
- Track record of delivering business results in matrixed, multinational environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead business transformations.
- Expertise in sales management, customer relationship building, consultative selling, and value-based solutions.
- Leadership skills with a growth mindset: developing teams, fostering cross-division collaboration, and promoting accountability.
- Fluent in English
