Role

The Lancashire authorities are seeking an exceptional strategic leader to take on the role of Local Government Reorganisation Programme Director. This is an exciting and high profile opportunity to lead one of the most significant transformation programmes in local government, shaping the transition to new unitary authorities and helping to deliver Lancashire's long term ambitions for reform, collaboration and improvement.

We are looking for a credible and politically astute programme leader with substantial experience of large scale transformation, strong partnership skills, and the ability to work confidently across complex stakeholder environments. You will bring strategic vision, excellent judgement, and a track record of delivering change at pace in the public sector or similarly complex settings.

You Will

  • Lead Lancashire's Local Government Reorganisation programme at a pivotal moment of change.
  • Work with senior leaders, elected members, partners and Government on a complex, high impact agenda.
  • Help shape future governance, service delivery and organisational design across Lancashire.
  • Play a central role in aligning reorganisation with wider devolution ambitions.
