Event & Field Marketing Specialist

At Lightspeed, we believe the best way to connect with the hospitality industry is to be an active part of it. We are seeking a dynamic Event & Field Marketing Specialist to design, execute, and scale hyper-local experiential events across key cities in The UK (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester).

In this role, you will be the ultimate event strategist, relationship builder, and local community orchestrator. You will own the local vibe, turning offline gatherings into powerful brand advocacy and measurable pipeline growth. If you possess a proven track record of flawless event production and live and breathe the hospitality scene, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do

  • Experiential Production & Execution: Own the end-to-end ideation, logistics, and execution of local activations. This ranges from intimate morning roundtables and working lunches to exclusive, late-night industry networking events hosted at customer venues.
  • Activate "Local Legends" (Anchor Program): Partner with our most prominent existing customers to utilize their venues as anchor locations. Curate high-impact events that naturally attract local industry influencers, top chefs, consultants, and premium prospects.
  • Vendor & Venue Management: Source, negotiate with, and manage local venues and suppliers. Ensure all activations are executed flawlessly, on budget, and up to brand standards while maintaining a strict run-of-sheet.
  • Ecosystem Networking: Identify and forge strong relationships with key external stakeholders, trade associations, and hospitality trailblazers to deeply embed Lightspeed into the local culinary and nightlife fabric.
  • Commercial Alignment: Collaborate closely with Field Sales teams to keep regional marketing materials hyper-relevant, arming them with the localized insights and success stories you gather on-site.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Regional Integrated Marketing Managers (for campaign alignment), Product Marketing (for product messaging), and Social/Content teams to ensure local event magic translates into compelling digital content.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How You’ll Track Success

We believe event magic should drive measurable business growth. You will be responsible for linking your offline activations directly to our digital sales funnel:

  • Pipeline Attribution & ROI: Maintain meticulous tracking to ensure every local event, dinner, or influencer activation directly maps to lead generation, sales pipeline, and closed-won revenue.
  • Event Performance Metrics: Partner with Integrated Marketing Managers to establish and hit clear targets for event attendance, cost-per-attendee, and post-event guest sentiment.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Author concise, monthly performance reports that demonstrate how localized field activities directly accelerate regional sales velocity and brand engagement.
  • Event Tech Optimization: Utilize CRM tools, event management platforms, and data analytics dashboards to measure campaign influence and uncover insights on which city-specific tactics truly move the needle.

What It Takes to Succeed

  • Proven Event Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in event planning, field marketing, or experiential production. You know how to troubleshoot on the fly and deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Hospitality DNA: You are completely at home in the hospitality industry. You understand how restaurants, bars, and venues operate, speak their language, and ideally possess an existing network of operators or influencers.
  • Field-First Mindset: You thrive on being out of the office and "on the floor" at activations. You have high emotional intelligence and excel at managing live, fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic & Autonomous: You are a self-starter who doesn't need a rigid playbook. You can spot an opportunity to bring a community together, build a business case and budget for it, and execute it flawlessly.
  • Sales-Minded Hustler: You recognize that events are a vital top-of-funnel driver. You instinctively know how to guide a great event conversation into a meaningful discovery opportunity for our sales team.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Tech & CRM Literacy: Experience tracking campaign influence within enterprise tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or Looker.
  • Attribution Savvy: Direct experience deploying UTM links, trackable QR codes, and digital landing pages to measure physical-to-digital engagement.
