Role description:

Arcadis is looking to hire a Network Engineer to contribute to the planning, designing, and optimization for all aspects of the network and security infrastructure within the company with a passion to drive and execute Digital to the core of everything we do. Role accountabilities:

  • Contributes to the planning, designing, and optimization for all aspects of the network and security infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, VPN, IPS/IDS, etc.), network engineering support for IP telephony solutions and video conferencing systems, and planning and deployment of other network and security related systems.
  • Performs product evaluation and testing, research into emerging technologies, and provides troubleshooting assistance as top tier support for Network Operations support team.
  • Assists in the definition of the plan Connectivity wants to achieve.
  • Applies technical and business knowledge toward ensuring that appropriate solutions are developed and deployed to meet business requirements.
  • Curation of Network Management & Monitoring Systems - Ensures that all network monitoring systems are updated, secure, and performing optimally for mission critical networking equipment.
  • Assist in developing best fit solutions for the business, taking on security, risk and continuation as key points.

Key profile requirements:

  • Provides 3rd level support
  • Involved in the crisis management team for high-priority incidents impacting the domain services.
  • Is a key stakeholder in determining whether a new release affecting a service in production is ready
  • Has experienced knowledge of relevant technical systems & tooling
  • Has excellent analytical skills. Successfully handles complex issues, is consistent and decisive (anticipates at problems that might affect the success of key processes).
  • Service delivery with partners and relevant Tech stakeholders
  • Network design and security infrastructure with Global Connectivity Manager and partners
  • Language proficiency
  • Self-traveling Ability
  • Cloud Networking Fundamentals

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Over 8 Years of experience in all aspects of the network and security infrastructure
  • Autonomous and acts as a mentor and/or can train the other engineers.
  • Provides clear goals for all areas related to Network in a project and develops steps to oversee their timely execution.
  • Act as a project manager for delivering Network internal solutions
  • Subject Matter Expert and go-to person for any complex problems, issues or challenges.
