About the role
Prestige Network is a UK-based Language Service Provider working across interpreting, translation, transcription, localisation, British Sign Language, accessibility and related services.
We are looking for a Localisation Project Manager to join our Content & Translation Services team in Newbury.
This is an end-to-end project management role covering translation, transcription, subtitling, voiceover, desktop publishing and other multilingual content projects.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership rather than simply administer tasks: understanding what a client needs, turning that into a clear delivery plan, coordinating linguists and specialist suppliers, controlling deadlines and costs, resolving problems and communicating confidently with clients.
You do not need to have spent years working for a translation company, and previous experience of our systems is not required. We are more interested in strong project-management ability, organisation, communication, judgement and the ability to learn systems quickly.
If you already have localisation or language-services experience, that is valuable. Equally, you may come from a content, media, production, creative agency, professional services or other project-led environment where you have coordinated clients, suppliers, deadlines and budgets.
What you will do
You will manage projects from handover through to final delivery and project close. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple translation, transcription, localisation and media/content projects at the same time.
- Confirming project requirements, languages, formats, deadlines, quality requirements and client instructions.
- Building practical delivery plans and coordinating the people and resources needed to deliver them.
- Selecting and briefing translators, revisers, transcribers, subtitlers, voice talent, DTP specialists and other external suppliers.
- Managing client communication throughout projects, including updates, questions, changes and problem resolution.
- Managing multi-language and multi-supplier projects, ensuring dependencies, deadlines and deliverables remain under control.
- Using XTRF to manage projects, commercial information and workflow, and Phrase for translation/localisation workflows where appropriate.
- Managing supplier costs, purchase orders, budgets and project margins within agreed parameters.
- Identifying project risks early and resolving routine issues independently.
- Coordinating quality-control stages and ensuring projects follow client requirements and our internal quality and information-security processes.
- Supporting quotations and feasibility assessments where projects require more technical or production input.
- Maintaining accurate project records so that status, costs, instructions and next actions are always clear.
- Identifying better ways of working and helping improve workflows, templates, systems, supplier use and quality controls.
- Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Client Services, Commercial, Finance and Technology.

Experience
You should be able to demonstrate experience of coordinating multiple concurrent projects, client workstreams or service-delivery activities in a deadline-driven environment.
This could have been gained in localisation or translation, but it could equally come from another environment involving clients, suppliers, production, content or project delivery.
You will also need:
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and external suppliers.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
- Experience managing deadlines, changes, dependencies and competing priorities.
- Good numerical and commercial awareness, including the ability to work with costs and budgets.
- Strong general systems and software aptitude.
- A high standard of written English.
- The ability to work independently while escalating appropriately when required.
Any of the following would be beneficial, but we do not expect applicants to have all of them:

- Translation, localisation/localization or multilingual content.
- Transcription, subtitling, captioning or voiceover.
- Media, publishing, creative production or DTP.
- Working with freelance specialists or external production suppliers.
- Translation Management Systems or CAT tools such as XTRF, Phrase, Trados, memoQ, Smartling or Plunet.
- Translation memories, terminology management or machine translation workflows.
- Regulated, healthcare, legal, public-sector or confidential client work.
- AI-assisted production tools, speech-to-text or synthetic voice technologies.
- An additional language.
- Project-management training or qualifications.
None of these is essential if you can demonstrate the core project-management, communication and systems capability we need.
