ABOUT THE ROLE
Deliver hands-on, practical locksmith training courses to students at our Wakefield training centre
- Occasional travel required to deliver on-site training at client premises (approx. 10% of the role)
- Teach a range of skills including lock picking, non-destructive entry, uPVC and multipoint locking systems, and high security lock entry techniques, in line with City & Guilds accredited course content
- Assess student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
- Help maintain MPL's reputation for high-quality, accredited training

- Extensive hands-on experience working as a professional locksmith
- Strong working knowledge across domestic and/or commercial locksmithing
- Confident, patient communicator, comfortable teaching students of varying experience levels
- A genuine passion for the trade and for helping others learn
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented
- A full UK driving licence (for the occasional client site visits)
- Previous training, mentoring, or assessing experience is an advantage, but not essential — if you've never trained before, we'll work with you and provide full tuition to help you develop into a confident, capable trainer
