Role Description

The post-holder will be expected to perform at the level of General Neurologist with experience in epilepsy. They will run their own First Seizure and general neurology clinics. They will work closely with the Epilepsy Specialist Nursing team. If desired, there may be an opportunity to contribute to the specialist epilepsy service. The postholder will be required to integrate closely with the wider epilepsy and Neurology team, which includes neurophysiologists, neuropsychologists, neuropsychiatrists, neurosurgeons, ward nursing, technologists, secretarial teams, and multiple aligned health professionals. There is currently no expectation for the postholder to contribute to the on-call rota. However, if the post is extended, then contribution to general neurology on-call would be expected.
