Consultant Anaesthetist - Carmarthenshire

About the Role
We are seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our established department and support the current team of NHS and academic staff. The successful candidate will contribute to the on-call rota and provide senior anaesthetic cover across a wide range of elective, emergency and trauma procedures.
Responsibilities
This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy district general hospital, caring for patients across a diverse case mix and delivering anaesthetic services to a number of surgical specialties. You will have the opportunity to gain further experience and expertise in areas including General Surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology, while also supporting emergency and trauma lists.
Working within a supportive and collaborative department, you will play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care and helping to maintain excellent clinical standards. There will also be opportunities to contribute to teaching, training and the ongoing development of anaesthetic services across Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Role Details
The post is for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in Peri-operative medicine. The post holder will provide high quality care for patients within the anaesthetic Department and provide perioperative care for elective and emergency patients across the range of specialities available within Hywel Dda UHB. The candidate will join a team of consultants with an interest in Peri-operative medicine, doing High Risk pre-assessment, CPET clinics and assisting with our Pre-habilitation service.
