We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant with interest in chronic pain. The theatre lists are provisional and may be altered after discussion, if necessary. An element of flexibility in the job plan is crucial for the smooth running of the Service to meet the contractual commitments and changing service demands on a weekly basis, with 10% of sessions being flexible.

On Call
- 1.0 PA is included each week for on-call duties. This was established from Consultant-on-call diaries and will be continuously reviewed. Consultant Anesthetists currently work 1:16 on-call Rota with prospective cover. After-hour duties include Intensive Care, Theatres and Maternity cover. The department is ultimately committed to separating the consultant-on-call for ICU and Theatres / Maternity.
