Locum Consultant in Breast
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Locum Consultant in Breast to join our team of friendly and supportive Breast consultants in a One Year Fixed Term Post.
About the Role
The York Breast Unit provides a symptomatic breast service for a population of approximately 500,000 between York and Scarborough and is the base for the North Yorkshire Breast Screening Service.
Currently, six dedicated breast surgeons provide treatment for over 700 newly diagnosed cases of breast cancer (screen detected and symptomatic) per year.
We would encourage applications from individuals with skills to complement our existing team. The job will involve providing core elective and emergency Breast care and can accommodate most subspecialist interests.
Base hospital: York, the post holder will be required to work across both sites

Within the Trust, we are part of the Surgery Care Group, which includes most surgical specialties. We have a Clinical Director responsible for all General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Trauma and Orthopaedic, and Breast services across the Trust, and a Lead Clinician for Breast.
Individual job plans will be discussed with the post holder on appointment.
