About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and visionary locum consultants in geriatric medicine to help shape and grow our evolving older person services. This is a pivotal moment to join Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as we expand our front-door services and begin laying the foundations for a community-based model of care over the next 2–5 years—reflecting our commitment to delivering care closer to home.
About Our Trust
Our Trust operates older person services across three sites: Winchester, Basingstoke, and Andover. We are currently looking for consultants who are particularly interested in working at the Winchester site, where exciting developments are underway.
At Winchester, we provide care for older adults across 55 dedicated inpatient beds, located within three specialist wards. These wards are central to our mission of delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care for our ageing population.
Beyond our acute inpatient wards at Winchester and Basingstoke, we also operate a dedicated rehabilitation unit in Andover. Looking ahead, we are committed to strengthening our liaison services to provide more comprehensive and coordinated care across the Trust.

The Role
We are seeking applicants with broad experience in Medicine, who demonstrate exceptional team-working skills and the leadership qualities needed to drive service development across the Trust.

We particularly welcome candidates with a passion for teaching, and we actively support applications for honorary teaching positions at our affiliated medical school in Southampton.
