Job Description
This is a 6 month fixed-term locum appointment, based at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) in Northwood and Northwick Park Hospital (NPH) in Harrow, part of the London North West University Hospitals Trust (LNWUHT). The post comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs) and an on-call commitment.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred urological and GI oncology care across Northwick Park Hospital and MVCC. They will be responsible for:
- Specialist outpatient care
- Participation in MDT meetings
- Safe delivery of both SACT and radiotherapy
- Contribution to teaching and training across the multidisciplinary workforce
- Engagement in directorate-level clinical governance activities including audit, incident review, quality improvement, and adherence to Trust and national cancer standards
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of high-quality patient centered care
- Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service
- Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
- Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
- Delivery and development of SACT administration
- Active participation in continuing medical education
- Active participation in trial research activities
