Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a specialist interest in early pregnancy and acute gynaecology. This full-time post offers the opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to a diverse population. The role is designed to strengthen consultant presence across key services, enhance urgent hysteroscopy access, and support a busy Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care across early pregnancy, acute gynaecology, and emergency services, including out-of-hours cover. Responsibilities include:
- Managing complex cases
- Contributing to delivery suite support
- Supervising junior medical staff
- Actively participating in teaching, training, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
