We are delighted to invite applications for a full-time Locum Consultant in Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia based at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow—one of the UK’s leading centres for paediatric care.

Job Details

This is a 10 PA post combining responsibilities across both cardiac and general paediatric theatres. The on-call commitment is 1 in 5, covering paediatric cardiac surgical and cardiology emergencies on-site.

You will join a supportive and highly skilled team of four paediatric cardiac anaesthetic consultants, contributing to a well-established and collaborative service. The department benefits from a comprehensive training environment, including a dedicated general anaesthesia rota, advanced paediatric anaesthesia trainees, post-CCT fellows, and specialty trainees from the West of Scotland Deanery.

Requirements

Applicants must hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, or be within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interview. Substantial prior experience in paediatric cardiac anaesthesia is essential. Applicants working towards a CESR will also be eligible to apply.
