THE NORTH WEST (ENGLAND) AND NORTH WALES PAEDIATRIC TRANSPORT SERVICE (NWTS)

This service provides a dedicated paediatric intensive care stabilisation and transport service for critically sick or injured children in the North West (England) and North Wales Region. It works closely with the region’s two paediatric intensive care units, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The service has been established to support and provide high quality care and/or advice for critically sick or injured children and their families from the first point of contact with secondary care and during their transportation to an appropriate PICU. NWTS provides a single point of contact for referring hospitals with consultant-led specialist advice on stabilisation, transport, and triaging facilities for all referrals at all times. The service receives approximately 1,400 referrals and undertakes approximately 500 transfers annually from the 29 Local Hospitals and Urgent Care Centres in the region into the two tertiary hospitals within the North West. NWTS works closely with both the referring hospitals and the two providers of paediatric intensive care in the region, and is part of the Paediatric Critical Care, Children’s Major Trauma and Congenital Cardiac Networks in region.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
