Locum Consultant in Public Health

FULL TIME (10 PAs per week)
Consultant salary scale - £115,331 - £153,247 per annum (pro rata)
AfC Band 8D salary scale –£107,810 - £112,426 per annum (pro rata)
Fixed term 6 months

NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in the post of Consultant in Health Protection within the East Region.
The East region Health protection service encompasses Lothian, Fife, Forth Valley and Borders and will improve and protect the health of the people of the area as part of the whole systems approach to Public Health in Scotland. The service aims to deliver a resilient, responsive and efficient health protection function for the East Region that is fit for the future. The post based at Carseview House, Castle Business Park. Once orientated hybrid working is an option with 60% based in the office or at any of the sites across the East Region.

The post is offered on a 1.0 WTE basis (10 Programmed Activities per week) or 36 hours per week (if on Agenda for Change).

Applicants will be in possession of Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent, registered with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT at the time of interview. Applicants applying under the Portfolio pathway must be entered onto the GMC Specialist Register at time of application. Applicants are required to have evidence of recent continued academic and professional development. Excellent, communication, listening and organisational skills are essential
