An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant in Surgical Gynaecological Oncology
Location
Based at the University Hospital of Wales, serving South East Wales
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant in Surgical Gynaecological Oncology to join a dynamic and high-performing regional cancer centre.
Responsibilities
- Work within a well-established tertiary referral service delivering specialist care for complex gynaecological malignancies alongside secondary care provision for Cardiff and the Vale.
- The department manages over 450 cancer surgeries annually and reviews more than 800 patients through its multidisciplinary team (MDT), offering exposure to a broad and complex case mix.
- The service delivers advanced and innovative surgical care, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery, sentinel lymph node mapping, ultra-radical cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC, supported by close collaboration with colorectal, urology and reconstructive teams.
- Strong links with Velindre Cancer Centre ensure fully integrated oncology pathways.
