Locum Consultant Psychiatrist/Specialist Doctor Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Psychiatrist or Specialist Doctor to join the South Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Integrated Network Team (MINT) on a fixed-term basis until 28 February 2027.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary community mental-health service supporting adults with complex mental-health needs. The successful applicant will provide senior medical input to the team, including psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and risk formulation, working closely with service users, carers, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and risk formulation.
  • Work closely with service users, carers, and partner agencies.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, peer-support workers, and other medical colleagues.
  • Contribute to clinical leadership, supervision, teaching, service development, governance, and quality-improvement activity, depending on grade and experience.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in adult psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative-working skills.
  • Commitment to recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and person-centred care.
  • The post may be appointed at Consultant Psychiatrist level for an appropriately qualified candidate, or at Specialist Doctor level for an experienced doctor who meets the relevant requirements.

South Hammersmith & Fulham is a diverse, well-connected area of West London, offering an engaging community mental-health role within an established multidisciplinary team.
