Applications are invited for a full-time Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon with principal responsibilities in adult and paediatric burns and reconstructive plastic surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The anticipated start is late September or October 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The role is offered on a 12 months fixed term basis.
The post holder will join the established burns team and contribute to acute burns care, burns reconstruction, outpatient and multidisciplinary care, and the emergency Plastic Surgery service across Nottingham City Hospital and Queen's Medical Centre (QMC).
The indicative programme includes flexible specialist-interest capacity. Depending on the appointed candidate's expertise and service requirements, this may be used for orthoplastics, hand surgery, skin cancer, breast reconstruction or another agreed area of specialist interest.

The post holder will join the current Plastic Surgery consultant team, participate in the Plastic Surgery on-call and hot-week arrangements, and provide reciprocal consultant cross-cover. The Trust supports CPD, annual appraisal, revalidation and consultant mentorship.
