The post holder will join a team of five Consultant Upper GI Surgeons to support the delivery, development, and future direction of Upper GI Surgical Services across Somerset. The successful candidate will be a specialist in General Surgery with expertise in Upper GI conditions, providing a comprehensive service that encompasses both elective and emergency care.
- The post holder will play a key role in shaping innovative and sustainable surgical services.
- They will maximize the use of modern facilities including the current surgical and endoscopy infrastructure.
- The post holder will also contribute to the development of new services within the forthcoming surgical block and critical care expansion.
