Role - Locum Educational Psychologist
Location: Dorchester
Pay: £500 - £600 per day
Myn has partnered with a number of councils across the UK for their interim requirements within their child services team.
As such we are now seeking applications for a Locum Educational Psychologist to work with the council to deliver assessments on an interim basis to children and adolescents in the Dorset area.
About the Role
As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will:
- Apply evidence informed psychology to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND (0-25)
- Help the council meet its statutory duties for vulnerable children and those with SEND.
- Work in a strengths based, person centred way with children, young people, parents and carers.
- Collaborate with schools, settings and multi-agency partners to build capacity and promote effective practice.
- Manage your own workload and maintain up-to-date professional knowledge grounded in evidence-based psychology.

What will you be doing?
- Deliver clear, high quality statutory psychological advice for children and young people aged 0-25.
- Work collaboratively with parents/carers, education settings and wider professionals.
- Provide practical, child centred, outcome focused recommendations grounded in sound psychological practice.

About You:
- A UK recognised postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology and HCPC registration
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Local Authority
- Strong analytical, organisational and report writing skills
- Ability to complete at least 1 in person assessment per month
- Up to date DBS clearance and GDPR training
- The right to work in the UK
