Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2 months initially with option to extend
Salary: £27-31
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in supporting the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services within a well-established private hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient provision of medicines management services, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services.
- Oversee the preparation, checking, and dispensing of medicines, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and patient safety.
- Manage medication stock levels and inventory, ensuring essential medicines are available when required.
- Provide expert advice and support to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers regarding medicines management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in medicines management, dispensing, and stock control.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
