Lodge Park Supervisor

Wolverstone Marina and Lodge Park is a busy, high-profile visitor destination, committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our visitors and customers. We are now looking for a full-time Lodge Park Supervisor to join the team, working Monday to Friday totalling 40 hours per week. They will oversee the day-to-day Lodge Park operations and support the Marina Manager to ensure the smooth and effective performance of the site.

Responsibilities

The role will include but not limited to:

  • To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all operations in the Lodge Park; plan and prioritise workload to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly checks are carried out.
  • To manage lodge bookings using online booking platform, ensuring payments are received prior to arrival.
  • To co-ordinate with the cleaners to ensure all lodges are prepared and set up ready for visitors, stocks are monitored, maintained, and replenished as necessary.
  • To ensure all relevant checks are carried out in accordance with the Company Health & Safety policy to include but not limited to, COSHH, Risk Assessments, annual servicing of boilers, PAT Testing, Legionella, smoke alarms and CO2 detectors including maintaining all records.
  • To ensure the lodge park Guest information folders, Check in forms, manuals, COSHH and risk assessments are kept up to date, and any changes are communicated to the team.
  • Coordinate with Management with regards to bookings, changes to lodges, demand, prices, and marketing.
  • Deliver operational process and systems in accordance with the quality management systems of the MDL Way.
  • Working with the management team to develop and lead an empowered and motivated staff structure that functions flexibly, whilst providing the best in customer experience and site cover, driving customer focus to the forefront of the marina team.
  • To instill in your teams an ethos of flexible working hours driven by business demand.
  • To help manage, coach and develop staff to monitor customer’s satisfaction while constantly improving the customer experience ensuring excellence in customer service at all times.
  • Know how to handle periods of change and consistently display motivating and encouraging behaviors.
  • To undertake routine and reactive maintenance; ensuring the lodge park remains safe, secure, clean, tidy and well landscaped at all times and to complete the required safety checks.
  • To plan and arrange periodic lodge refurbishments as and when required.
  • To ensure the highest levels of customer service and experience at all times.
  • To establish a good working relationship with staff, tenants and customers, which is based on trust and efficiency.
  • To ensure the Marina Manager is informed of any damage, complaints or cause for concern.
  • To provide emergency cover or support for marina-based operations in the absence of a Marina Manager or as and when required during off peak times.
  • Any other duties as prescribed by the Marina Manager.

Requirements

The key requirements for this role are but not limited to:

  • Deliver operational process and systems in accordance with the quality management systems of the MDL Way. All laid down Code of Conduct Marina Regulations and company procedures and policies are always adhered to.
  • Place our customers at the centre of all our business practices, ensuring outstanding customer care at all points of contact.
  • To operate in accordance with MDL’s values; Warm and Friendly, Safe and Secure, Prompt and Efficient, Clean and tidy. Ensure you and your team are in the correct uniform and that it is clean, presentable, and always maintained. To ensure the correct PPE is worn when necessary.
  • All dealings with team members are carried out professionally, politely, and respectfully.
  • To adopt a flexible attitude towards work whilst providing the best in customer experience and site cover; driving customer focus to the forefront of your activities and that of your team.
  • To have previously operated in the leisure industry.
  • To have demonstrable experience and knowledge in health and safety within a marina/leisure environment or other similar environment.
  • Be results orientated and keen to make improvements to already established businesses.
  • Able to provide first class customer service.
  • Ability to creatively troubleshoot and provide short term solutions when required ahead of long term fixes.
  • Experience of working as a handyperson in the leisure industry (desirable).
