This is a full-time, on-site Loft Insulation role based in Faversham. The loft insulation operative will survey loft spaces, assess existing insulation and ventilation, and install appropriate insulation materials in line with current regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Preparing work areas
- Handling and cutting insulation materials
- Ensuring safe access and working platforms
- Maintaining a clean, organized site
- Completing documentation
- Reporting any issues or additional work requirements
- Liaising with supervisors, clients, or tenants in a professional manner
The role involves adherence to health and safety procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, and support for broader energy efficiency projects when needed.
Qualifications
- Practical skills in basic construction or property maintenance, including safe use of hand tools and working in confined or elevated spaces.
- Knowledge of loft insulation techniques, building fabric, and domestic energy efficiency measures, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Commitment to health and safety best practices, including manual handling, ladder safety, and use of personal protective equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with clients, residents, and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow installation specifications and written instructions accurately.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to local sites as required.
- Relevant trade qualifications, NVQs, or prior experience in insulation, construction, or property services are beneficial but not mandatory.
